Modifying PLR Content For Effective Use
Posted By Anne on February 10, 2009
First and foremost you must know that if you’re going to use PLR as content on your own website, you’re going to want (need) to change it. You will need to modify any PLR content that you use by 25-30% or the search engines (and readers) will not treat it as nicely as they would fresh, new content. So remember to change it – especially the following areas:
The Title
The Summary (if an article – the first paragraph)
The resource (or ending) – you will definitely want to replace any product links that are already in the PLR with links of your own.
Generally, you will want to read through and determine the keyword the article is using and make sure that it’s the one that you want – small changes can make your PLR article appear completely new and fresh. Many, many times I have wanted to write an article and just couldn’t come up with a good idea – a good “take” on my product. PLR articles have given me that perfect “idea nudge” that enabled me to write a brand new article – just based on the idea given in the PLR article or website content.
Bottom line – spending as little time as possible, try to modify and change your PLR articles and website content by 25-30% and it will be looked upon as fresh content by the search engines.
